CommunityWorks at BodyWorks is almost here! It’s a long name, but I’m rolling with it for now.

So, what is CommunityWorks?

Over the last (almost) 15 years that BodyWorks has been around, I like to jump in and support local non-profits and charities. Sometimes that is in the form of a food drive, school supplies, fundraising, etc. This year, I’m trying a new way to raise some money, support a non-profit, and help my BodyWorks people out all at the same time.

First, let’s tackle the Who and When. On Friday, April 25 (2025) from 3:30p to 5:30p, BodyWorks will be supporting Brilliant Detroit. Brilliant Detroit is an amazing non-profit that develops “hubs” in different Detroit neighborhoods. These hubs serve as a resource center for local families with young children, promoting literacy, mental health, fitness, nutrition, etc. I could go on and on. Please check out their website for more details about how they’re helping our city.

Second, to raise money, I will be offering adjustments only on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary! I think that’s the first time I’ve said those three words in my (almost) 20 years as a chiropractor… At any rate, all I’m asking is a $20 minimum donation to get adjusted. You can certainly give more if you like. Just stop in between 3:30 and 5:30p on April 25, and I’ll take care of you.

The fine details:

  • This one is important…this is only good for current patients that I have seen within the last 12 months and without any new injuries/accidents or other major health changes. The primary reason for this is because of lack of time. You can still take advantage of the $20 adjustment by setting up a regular appointment ahead of time with my typical charges and then coming in for a follow-up adjustment on April 25. If you have specific questions about your care, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  • BodyWorks will match total donations up to $200.
  • Cash only, please! I would love to present them with a giant stack of cash!
  • Treats and Tea will be provided! Feel free to come hang out. A representative from Brilliant Detroit, the awesome Brittany, is planning to hang out with us and can talk to you more about Brilliant Detroit and how…brilliant…they are.
  • If you’re not feeling an adjustment, you can still donate…just stop by during the fundraising hours.
  • If you haven’t seen the new office, this is a great time to check it out!

That’s all I have for now. Again, please reach out if you have any questions. I’d love for CommunityWorks to be a resounding success, but it can only be done with your involvement. Thank you all for your support over the years. CommunityWorks at BodyWorks couldn’t happen without you!

Looking forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
